Mersey Cabs was established in 1958 and is Liverpool's largest taxi company, providing the fastest and safest service around the city. The company is part of the multinational transport corporation ComfortDelGro Corporation, that includes the leading taxi companies in London, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Aberdeen.

Our taxis carry out a mixture of street hail bookings and telephone bookings. They are located throughout the city able to respond immediately to your call. Bookings are allocated to the nearest taxi by our automated GPS booking and despatch system. All drivers are licensed in Liverpool City so they are fully vetted by the council licensing office and have an excellent geographical knowledge of the city.

Many of Liverpool's leading organisations and businesses have a taxi account with us ensuring they have priority access to our booking lines and are able to exercise greater control and accountability over their transport expenditure. Our clients include local and national government agencies, legal practices, accountancy and business services companies, banks, manufacturing and retail, public authorities, football clubs and hotels.

All of our 400 taxis are purpose built black cabs. They are fully accessible vehicles with a spacious comfortable cabin seating at least 5 passengers and are fully equipped to securely accommodate wheelchair users.
